Man, this is crazy. What's going on with all the drummers passing away?

I grew up playing to this guy all the time. I'm sure there are many people that did too. I wore out Frampton Comes Alive, playing along, closing my eyes, pretending that was me playing in front of those thousands of screaming fans.

Yikes. He is one of the drummers who is ingrained in my DNA. I used to listen to Frampton comes alive repeatedly in the 3rd grade. My bro and I would sing the guitar solo out(note for note!) loud to Do You Feel Like I Do----with and without the music playing. Siomos had such a great feel.
I also recently noticed that he played on some great Todd Rundgren tracks as well.

Yeah, very sorry to hear that...that album was a phenom...a landmark...

I didn't realize that he co-wrote "Do You Feel..."
...& that he actually played kit on Carly Simon's "That's the Way I've Always Heard It Should Be," and Todd Rundgren's hit "Hello It's Me." Those were 2 other extremely ENORMOUS hits at that time [img]eek.gif[/img] !...

I enjoyed seeing Fram open for [post Perry/Smith/RJackson-] Journey, back a yr & 1/2 or so...the drummer was real' solid, but seemed to lack that spark/groove that Siomos had, to a degree [maybe it was just the time period...i was really young, & i still had those elusive "stars in my eyes"]...but it was good nonetheless; a def cool trip down Wax Nostalgic Boulevard by way of Memory Lane...[the only thing being better would be a trip down Diane Lane]... ;o)

FlamT...I kinda' got chills reading your post because it was as if i had written it...you musta' been a "fly on the wall" when i was mesmerized by that track [AWA the entire album] AW [img]wink.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img] ....
